I'm the Weatherman
I'm the Weatherman
Sadness is only temporary,
Like the rain coming down upon me,
Those thick dark clouds will shrink,
As will the sorrow in my heart.
The sun will follow the rain,
As April becomes May.
Flowers will sprout from the earth,
As will a new beginning for me.
Nobody knows my misery,
But there's no reason to complain,
I used to think my life was made this way,
But now I know,
I'm the weatherman,
And I control my own destiny,
So I'm calling for the clouds to clear,
And for the temperature to rise,
And putting on a smile.
No matter the season,
No matter the conditions,
Through rain, sleet or snow
I'll always keep a bright perspective,
And I won't hang my head anymore.
Look over yonder,
There's a rainbow,
Seven blissful colors glistening in the sun,
That's what follows a sad tear falling shower.
I'm basking in the warmth,
Letting the sun heal my soul.
I'm the weatherman,
And I think the forecast is looking mighty bright,
For the rest of the week and beyond.
