The Emptiness in Love

Looking into this mirror
I see myself
But I'm standing off center
and out of place.
There's room next to me
and I stare at that empty void.
My body is so alone,
and the void remains.
I imagine you next to me
because in all honesty
I can't see myself
without you beside me.
When I imagine you there
the picture is complete.
Throw a frame on that mirror
and it would be a picture of our love.
