A Story of A Damaged Heart
Her story was tragic, much like mine
feeling unstable, yet her head held high
beaten and broken, battered and bruised
an inescapable romance, he forever refused
He struck pain to her soul, and she fell to the floor
an undecided adventure he enjoyed to explore
she never fought back, she never thought twice
salvation was her pleasure, and she knew the price
She portrayed the part of the perfect mate
it was never sufficient, she knew her fate
Her death may come calmly, not hurried or sudden
but she knew it would come, a victims token
She protected the fragile, the more fragile than her
She gave her last breath, the torture she endured
I am a witness to the life of a woman who told many lies
but she is still a hero in this daughters eyes
