Believe
Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit
When there are footprints on the moon.
Don’t tell me I won’t make it
Because I won’t be giving up so soon.
Don’t make me believe that I’m just one
And I can’t change a thing.
Believe me, I’ve only just begun.
Just watch the change I’ll bring.
Don’t tell me I won’t amount to much
And a boring life I’ll lead.
I’ve got my foot back on the clutch
Don’t think I won’t succeed.
Don’t make me hate who I’ve become
Because I’m me through and through.
Though that may be the goal of some
To myself I will remain true.
I’ll never live your dream for me
Or be your Barbie doll.
From no on I’ll be living free.
I’ll stand back up when I fall.
Just let me be who I’m going to be
Because I’m not willing to change.
With power, anything I’ll be.
It’s all within my range.
