Paul Revere
Defender of Freedom
In April of 1775.
Paul Revere was in for a ride
It was the ride of his life
He loaded his musket and sharpened his knife
He hooked his lantern to his saddle
It was the signal to begin the battle
One if by land, two if by sea
That was the signal, it was meant to be
An unbelievable sight for his eyes
The British were coming from under the night sky
He jumped on his horse and toar down the dirt road
The British were coming
With a trail of dust he spread the alarm
The town’s people awoke and bared their arms
They were prepared to fight
Thanks to Paul Revere and his trusty mare
The freedom of this country is where it all began
The British and taxation was nothing but a big scam
There was always a price for freedom, to pay
The British found taxation was not the way
