Swallowed in solidified silence.
Sorrow soaked and stung by the severity
That solace has strayed.
Suspended in some secret space
Soon to be sold to Satan
(As shown by statistics and shared suspicions.)
Society sanctioned the sweet tooth for cyanide and suicide
Supporting a scheme centuries in the shaping.
Sickness, savage, swollen, and suffering
The system shuts down,
Our sphere is ceasing to subsist.
All souls are stricken,
Snake-bitten and singed.
A seductive smile
Simulated by our sordid sorceress.
She strolls the streets suggestively,
Seducing sinners to succumb to
Sadomasochistic sensations.
She sees us staggering shamelessly,
Stinking strongly of sex and scotch.
Surfeit slaughtered soldiers,
Subjugated skies and stars,
Slain, smoldering sisters and sons.
“Save our souls!” They sob.
….Silence….
Silly serpents, saviors are synthetic.
Sickly serenades of screams and shots sounding,
Sirens stretch to the stratosphere.
Stabbed with shards of self stimulated stupidity
And sacrificed to sad circumstances.
So scribble a story saying sorry to some supernatural spirit,
Sing a senseless song supplicating safety.
Salvation strayed, citizens of Sodom,
Spineless, shallow, squalid swine.
Stripped to silhouettes,
Shades and shadows.
A star-crossed civilization,
Shattered.
We stare through the smoky sin-soaked scope,
the shell of a once sufficient society.
This is your America Sodom.
