For the distance I've walked.
For the time I've waited.
For the days I've dreamed.
For the people I've searched.
You were always there...
When the hard times approached,
When the tears struck,
When life seemed like it ended,
When no happiness occured.
You made it better...
You made me smile,
You made me laugh,
You made me cry,
You made me learn...
About the wrong and the right,
About the life I need to live,
About being brave,
About following my dreams.
And you...
Were right.

I always read poems aloud and I'm not going to lie... by the end of this I was in tears. It's a beautiful, simple, and honest poem. Good job. Keep on writing.
