I Am From
I am from Birmingham, Al, raised in the "A". City so big I got lost everyday. Springs rainy, winters frigid, and summers burning up. Cornbread, collar greens, and hot stewed hamhocks. Braves rule the land surrounding while Hawks and Falcons survey from above. Huge rims, wet paint, and bang and the trunks. Mrs. Weiner's chicken, Waffle House, and the original Chick-Fil-A. The Weather Channel, CNN, and TBS headquarter here. Centennial Olympic Park bombing scarred our city, but the 96 Summer Olympics made it up. Dominique Wilkins, Hank Aaron, Bobby Cox, Evander Holyfield, and Cleveland's own Jim Brown call Atlanta home. Hope i go back some day to touch the red Georgia clay. To call myself an ATLien again would be a blessing.
