As I gaze into the night,
Ol’ Man Winter shows his might.
This utopia that He has created
is the crown of nature?

I was simply elated.

The silence whistled in my ear
until the winding stream flowed near.
The wind billowed for what I’d seen
The crystals crashed.

Snow surfed the silvery stream

The rapids ran faster as time went on,
leaving me there with a neighboring fawn.
The snow sat steadily upon its tail,
as it ate its evening meal.

I got away without fail.

Looking back at what I’ve seen,
It’s made me wiser and a bit more keen.
Winters raft is shown each day,
It’s there, just look.
I’d be pleased if it would stay.

I'm hoping people will look past the literal meaning, and apply the figurative to themselves. Life is short, enjoy it while it lasts.
