Ode To Wind
Oh, Wind
I see you dancing with the leaves
You bow the trees
You la next to me in the grass, cool damp,
You bring me a sensation of smells
Brownies (mmmm my favorite)
Pies
Cookies
When you are mad at me…
You pull water up
And
Pour it on people
You bring horrid smells
Skunks
Drenched dogs
Gasoline
When you love me…
You drown your body into my
Hair (it flies everywhere)
You brush against my face
You tickle my feet
You sprint through my fingers in a race to please me
I open my mouth
And
Taste you on my teeth
You send a wintry taste in my mouth
With your body, smooth clear,
When I’m sad you sing me songs: the leaves and trees play instruments
“Swoosh, buzz”
Alas, everything dies
And
When you do I know its spring
I know you will come next fall
And
Sing and dance for everyone
We all have a wind in us
To lift us off our feet
