A Whole New World

Her world is where lizards leap and grizzlies sleep.
Where harmony rings and the people sing.
Where there there is no greener side, and peace resides,
Behind her eyes stories unfold
About adventures, travels, and mysteries of old.
Only during the in-between can she reach her world of dreams.
She is so far away,
but she wants to stay.
Light enters her eyes,
and she can see the morning skies.
And so she wakes up.
Her world now corrupt.

My dreams inspired this poem. I love dreaming, so I wrote about my dream world and what it is like to wake up from that perfect dream world. It's designed to show the contrast between our dreams and the world we live in. It's a huge difference! I hope this poem takes the readers to a whole different and pleasant world.
