I wrote you once,
A note on Facebook. I asked
About school, friends,
And movies.
After I sent it I waited
And waited for the response.

I got as nervous as a light mist
On a cool clammy night.
Then you replied.
We had a conversation.

I sent you a message
On instant messenger, we
Talked and talked
About Christmas, New Years, and fears.
I left you waiting and waiting
For the reply. Then I replied
And made you tranquil.

I had a class with you
We saw each-other every day
But never talked.

I sent you a text message
And then waited and waited.
Then we talked and talked about
Hanging out, talking in person,
Not ignoring each other.

We finally talked in person.
We only managed
“Hi.” it was still better
Then nothing.
I got nervous, quieter, and shyer.

You got a girlfriend
And stopped talking to me.
I’m as mad as thunder
On a hot summer night.

I like how this shows that using technology to explore a relationship can be tricky.

I love this. It is so true how the walls can come down when people aren't face to face. And how a guy(or a girl too) can forget all about something special you shared when a new one comes along.
