Bricks of splattered red
Carved from the stones of the past
Buildings blanket all

Towering from the graves of days long over
They wait through torment and joy
Witnessing the growth of those who seek their shelter
The loyal structures stand
Their power seeping through old bleeding stones
Their long royal lives draw to a close

Tumbling over,
Once standing tall in the past
The buildings are gone

I like it. =) Very descriptive, with strong adjectives, but a good flow.
