"We all are - act accordingly."

Dreaming of
A Winter’s Night,
Full of love,
Lit, but not by light.
I see the star’s, behind the snow, and I Ponder if, you shall ever know,
The warmth I felt,
As I pondered you.
This feeling comes,
But Oh so rarely,
To oh so few.
As I watch,
My footsteps Fade.
The crisp white snow, as sharp as a spade.
The wind curling, in and out,
Whips my tears,
and I shout, “I never knew, this world could hurt, a simple soul, full of mirth!”
And as I fall, weeping still,
my silent voice becomes forever shrill.
And so that my love,
for you may last,
this dream of mine,
I shall forever cast.
I shall never wake,
to dawn anew,
but have closed my eyes for last, before the first set dew.
I shall love you forever;
forever more, my heart will set, a shut stone door.
Inside, we shall forever stay, laughing, sharing, loving all our love away.
This dream has become too real;
I cannot dream of this forgotten seal,
for if I recall, your broken vow,
I will remember your lies, and the unearned scowls.
Your hate shall no longer more,
keep me locked within this empty door,
I see the stars and the moon above, and I recall, your fake love.

This was inspired by a rough experience; a rough time, not necessarily described in the poem itself, but underlying, in between the lines.
