My Heart

My Heart left my body,
for it was craving you.
It pounded against my chest
and ripped right through.
My heart is yours.
You hold it above your head
like a pounding trophy
stained with red.
Hold it with caution,
Don't let it fall.
Please take care of it,
and I'll give you my all.
Keep my heart safe.
Put our hearts side my side.
They'll always have eachother
in which they can confide.
I don't need it back,
It's safe in your care.
Because in my mind,
No other place could compare.
And if two hearts
become too much to bear,
let me keep yours.
We'll learn to share. <3
