The Struggle Within

Blood dripping from my heart
the final pieces breaking fast,
I cut and slice everyday hardly alive, as I struggle putting back the pieces.

Heartbroken as I walk around with a smile, swallowing all the tears and agony, digested them way down deep. I never wanted to hear those
four heart stopping words, we need to talk.

I loved you so much trying
to be the best I could be,
but I guess my best wasn't good enough for thee. Now I'm sad and lonesome without a care in the world, I'd rather die choking
gasping for breathe, because without you is like breathing with no air.

I wrote this poem after my ex girlfriend kayli left me. I get most of my inspiration from my past relationship with her, or what i see from other relationships.
