STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
She cries as she sits by the fire-
just wishing to be loved by he.
With his unwillingness to speak-
bringing on a new misery.
He won't cuddle, he won't touch-
just a little kiss and it's always too much.
Is she sick? Is she ill? Is he gaining some obscure thrill?
Has he found someone new? A new scent on his shirt?
Just the love that he shirked,
and reeking of the same old guilt.
The beer that she spilt-
trying to numb the pain
- won't dry, and baby still screams and cries even after the lullaby.
Mommy smells sour and daddy comes home at obscene hours.
He isn't willing to patch up this relationship bond -
When about five years ago it was something quite strong.
Broken families everywhere- what's one more?
He bashes her face into the floor.
