Noted
I stepped right off that front porch
And walked into your life
Then tried to pull myself back
Avoiding the slick black ice
Which could make me fall into pieces
Before even saying a word
Emotions that can run so high
My heart beating is all you heard
Tears fell from your crystal blue eyes
As goodbye crept up on our time
I leaned to give you that final kiss
Then noted the end of my rhyme
