the dancer

The dancer crosses the room
Stepping lightly on her toes
Flying,
Soaring,
Over the stage
Her beautiful outfit sways with every movement she makes with ever step.
Her hair is up tight in a braded bun
Dancing in lines she has memorized
Back and forth on the stage
The music stops
She stops
She bows with success
She leaves the stage with one last leap
She sores into the air off the stage
The crowd claps with content.
