First Day of School
I knew you were the one
Your eyes sparkled and shimmered in the sun
Your smile made me happy
You made me feel warm
Your personality is something I’ll always adore
I fell in love
And fell in love fast
My heart skipped beats
When I saw you walk past
But you’ve fallen in love
And not with me
Why we’re not together
I can even see
But we’re still best buds
Friends for life
Loving you has always been a difficult strife
To see you kiss her
And not be with me
Maybe in the future we’ll be together
Hopefully, possibly
