Favorite Quote:
Martin Luther King, Jr. - "Darkness cannot drive out darkness:only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that. The beauty of nonviolence is that in it's own way and in it's own time it seeks to break the chain of evil"

I sit here
on the cold floor
wondering and questioning
what could possibly be
beyond the door
leading the way out of this horrid
darkness.
Is it just light?
or is it an answer
that's willing to fight
against the dangers
of this blackness
surrounding me?
I get up,take 3 steps forward,
then I fall.
Out of nowhere
I hear this strange call
just for me.
It picks me up off the floor
and leads me through
the now open door....
of peace.

This was, in fact, the very first poem that i have ever wrote. It has a specific meaning, but it is personal so i will let you think about it yourself. :)
