Great Grandmas
More than a good friend to me,
Always there to help me see.
When I am in a bad mood,
She’s ready to make me food.
Helps through the ups and the downs,
And never gives me a frown.
She cares for her plants so much,
She gives them a special touch.
Her voice is calm and quiet,
She never caused a riot.
The horrible day came fast,
I was afraid she would pass.
That morning she had a stroke,
I cried and wanted to choke.
Although she made it that day,
Her mind went another way.
Now barely able to walk,
It’s hard to get her to talk.
She’ll always be in my heart,
Even when it’s time to part.
