massive crowds
tell him what to feel
societal standards
detach from what’s real
a boy’s crushed heart
suck it up, and be strong
no weakness allowed
shut up, come along
was that a tear?
you’re bigger than this!
pain won’t hurt you
there’s nothing to fix
they scorn his emotions
mockery proves cruel
they all say he’s fine
I guess majority rules.
