they see the same thing
every night on TV
people hurting people hurting people
was this really meant to be?
what are their values
what are their dreams
i say what are their thougthts
what do the children think
do we seem almighty
in this harsh new world war
carelessly killing brothers killing people
is this what life is for?
how do they see us
do they still care
i say what are their thoughts
what do the children think
oh what can we tell them
to justify our cruelty
do you think they believe us
sit back and wait and see
we tell them we love them
we say we know best -
stop lies and hatred
and let love do the rest

I really enjoyed this I've often wondered what young children thought about everything that is going on and if anyone would see that everything they do is under a microscope for the kids to analyze.
