Rhymes And Reason
By DEBORAH K., Swampscott, MA
Not much rhymes with slush
or mush.
Nothing rhymes with weather
but tether.
So
Though
The snow
Does blow
This poem about the
"pneumatics, aerodynamics, aerography, aeroscopy, aerology,
barometry, anemometry" (Roget's Thesaurus, "Weather," nouns.)
May not
rhyme-o.
You know,
It's cold
When you're old.
Whether the snuzz does bluzz
Or the snow does blow
Snow is white in the light.
(Unless it's February, which has twenty-eight days and yellow
snow and "i" before "e" except after "c" or on consecutive
Thursdays.)
Come in out of the rain!
This peice kinda feels confusing. I feel like its the information part of the poem, rather then the poem. There's not a whole lot of depth to it, but I do like the fact that it's differnt. Check out 11:11 Memories; teen ink raw!
