   I was

lifting my

fork to eat,

When I saw some-

thing drop,

And I heard it hit the table,

with a loud ker-plop.

I scoop it back up quickly,

So no one else would see,

And stuffing it in my mouth,

It became a piece of me.

It squiggled and it squirmed,

As it was sliding down,

And I seemed to gather stares,

From everyone around.

Was that a piece of food,

Or something much, much more,

That had fallen from the ceiling,

And was headed towards the floor.

I felt motion in my stomach,

And started to turn green.

I did not want to know,

What everyone had seen.

So be careful of what you eat,

And everything you drop,

And be sure to look at anything,

That makes a loud ker-plop.
