Where were you
When I needed you?
A hug and a smile
Was all I ever wanted
But harsh accusations
And twisted words
Was all I ever got
A father was what
You claimed to be
But something dark
And fearful was what
You were to me
I always tried my
Hardest to please you,
My so-called father
Even though it meant
Nothing to you in the end
And when the tables
Were turned you never
Came through
So how can you even question
Why I've stopped loving you?
