Listen well to what I say
If you don’t you may go astray,
Though their tale begins with hope
It ends on a sad note

They worked all day
Sowing the wheat and the hay
At last, they were done;
The war won

There was unity when they started out,
But soon came a split of doubt.
Two generals, one army
That’s a cause for disharmony

The wheel of time turns
And memory burns
We’ve returned to the beginning
Of the ending

Listen well to what I say
If you don’t you may go astray
Though their tale began with hope
It ended on a sad note

I wrote this poem after reading Animal Farm. For anyone who is a freshman in high school, you are probably reading it now or will be. There is a movie verison of it that is scarieir than the book.
