A Tear This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

By
   An innocent, scared child's eyes,

fill like the ocean during a storm.

His mind - full of confusion and turmoil,

doesn't know whether to cry

or stand in fear, frozen like ice.

As the child's thoughts wonder,

a solitary tear slowly rushes down his cheek,

until it falls upon the ground.

His decision was made.

His mourning finished.

I really admire your style. It reminds me of someone I know and she writes like you do. I have a soft spot for fantastic last words and your poem just took the cake. Keep writing, please!
