Winds Of Time
By Niamh D., Salem, MA
The winds of time blow gently,
A babe begins to cry
And life begins anew.
Steady years bring steady winds,
Where days of good have gentle breezes
And days of dark bring gusts of misery and grief.
The winds blow long and steady
And the days grow long somehow,
And roll into years.
Yet the winds blow tame again
just at light's last fade,
And in a graveyard dark and full
A new gravestone has appeared.
So, the winds of time have gone full circle,
First with gentle, then with wild,
And back to tame again.
This poem is a lot better than other ones I've been reading.
