   Sirens screaming

lights gleaming

people screaming

me dreaming

criminals scheming

fires gleaming

me dreaming

guns blaring

lights glaring

explosions flaring

me caring

life goes by

I look on

a spectator watching

acting some

mostly watching

A pawn in the game

of life waiting for it

to be done.
