   Underwear and an old T-shirt

Don't keep me warm enough

On these late summer nights.

I wake up in the morning

Uncomfortable and cold

From the invasion that happened

While I was asleep.

It was the startlingly cool wind

that seems so perennial.

Though every fall it barges through

My delicate summer curtains.
