“Sometimes people are beautiful. Not in their looks. Not in what they say. Just in what they are."
-Marcus Zusak

I can hear someone coming,
the light shines nearby...
I turn around to see,
that it's just an endless firefly.

It's flying straight towards me,
the wings so delicate,
the buzzing light, it burns my eyes,
it's just an endless firefly.

Suddenly, it moves,
and turns straight around.
The light is still shining, but
it makes not one more sound.

I wonder if the light,
shall stop before I die?
So I followed it and called it,
an endless firefly.

Some people would say that life and love don't last, but in my opinion, they last forever in the world as distant, yet close, memories. This poem is my philosophy on life and memories in the form of a firefly.

“The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

i love the imagery in this poem

& i love the "endless firefly" idea
