Who Is He? This work is considered exceptional by our editorial staff.

Who is he who walks among
The mosses and doesn't tread?
Who is he who takes what he needs
Unneeded blood he doesn't shed?
Who is he who silently tiptoes past the eagle?
Who is he who sees the tree and says how it is regal?
Who is he who knows not where to buy gold bars or rifles?
Who is he who does not care, and wants not for silly trifles?
Who is he who knows the earth
As a mother knows her young?
Who is he who watches with care
The words that come off his tongue?
Who is he who cries with joy when he sees a newborn sheep?
Who is he who prays thankfully watching his family, fast asleep?
Who is he who walks among
The mosses and doesn't tread?
Who is he who takes what he needs
Unneeded blood he doesn't shed?

Who is he who walks among
Dead bodies without caring?
Who is he who takes more than he needs
Kills for sport and never thinks of sharing?
Who is he who gaudily stomps right through a bird's nest?
Who is he who sees a tree; "cut it down" is his request?
Who is he who only cares for gold and land and captive slaves?
Who is he who walks away from a pile of bodies needing graves?
Who is he who rapes the earth
Because he doesn't understand?
Who is he who wastes his words
He never leaves an option; every word is a command.
Who is he who cries with mirth when he hears of spirit and spells?
Who is he who sits and sings when false voices ring church bells?
Who is he who walks among
Dead bodies without caring?
Who is he who takes more than he needs
Kills for sport and never thinks of sharing?
