Her copper wings shined in the light
Once rested on the swan’s side
She fluttered her wings at the stroke of midnight

Her diamond eyes so bright
She smiled and lifted up her head as
Her copper wings shined in the light

All around her the menagerie marched at night
She looks upon the pond near her and
She fluttered her wings at the stroke of midnight

A plastic plane above her flight
Takeoff, it flew above her and
Her copper wings shined in the light

Above her, she sighed, “What a sight!”
“Oh how I can glide in the air like that,” and
She fluttered her wings at the stroke of midnight

“But I am too heavy to reach that height,
maybe some day, maybe some day...”
Her copper wings shined in the light
She fluttered her wings at the stroke of midnight
