A Dream to Remember

Trees turn yellow,
Clouds turn gray,
And still my dear, you're here to stay

I smell a rose,
I taste the air,
Have you ever seen a maiden so fair?

You take my hand,
And begin to run,
We're headed towards the setting sun

I lift my voice,
And start to sing,
The sounds of the birds begin to ring

We stop and fall,
In a meadow so sweet,
The fragrance could lift you off your feet

Carefully now,
We rise on the ground,
You hold me close as we dance around

You look to the sky,
And say,"it is time,
Don't look so sad, its not a crime"

I look in your eyes,
Our hands intertwine,
With your gentle kiss, everything is fine

You turn around,
Tears from my eyes,
Climbing the step, where that light shines

You smile and wave,
The words you cry,
"its only a dream, I love you! Goodbye"

I wrote this in study hall in school, because I had no homework at thought to myself,"hey, I should write a poem." The words just came naturally.
