   EMPTY SPACES

Clear white paper stares back at me,
like an empty corner in my brain.
Where have all of those beautiful words gone?
Those emotions that constantly run through my mind.
The feelings are in there if only I could find them.

The sun has seen my days and knows my nights,
       but it won't tell me.
I'm blank,
There is nowhere to go from here.
I'll sleep at night and
       in my dreams, the sound
                of poetry flows through me
Awake, I hear no more.
