Teachers: You Know Who You Are MAG

By Anonymous

Is it me or is it them?

I often wonder.

To be hurt by their thoughtless opinions.

They do not think before they speak.

They are older they should know.

I am still learning.

Believing what they say.

I hear with my ears, but listen with my heart.

Is it wrong to feel this way?

I am young. Do I take things too seriously?

Is it them who are hurting me, or am I hurting myself?

Am I hearing things they do not say?

Do they know that they are this way?

I can put on a fake front, so they don't know.

Their words have broken my heart.

They make me fear giving anything new a try.

Creativity is good.

Encouragement is not a shrug of the shoulders, or saying "That's fine."

I trust them.

I am not a glass vase that can be glued back together once I

am broken.

I am a real person, with real feelings.

They are handing me my destiny.

If only they would look into the crystal ball they hold,

and see what they have given me as a future.

This is amazing.

I've often felt that way, but everyone else says teachers don't have that much power over us.

But you put the feelings into great words. Good job. :)
