Outside,
The aroma of the trees
Crashes over you like a giant wave.
Listening
To the birds singing in the trees
Making their songs for the world.
Looking
At the cross country course
Reminding me of the past.
Feeling the wind
As it engulfs me
With its embrace.
Blinded,
By the reflection
Of the sun off the water.
Hearing
The leaves of the trees
As they dance in the wind.
Outside.
