Lost Soul in The Vacancy
I didn't make it there
where everything glitters
shines
I didn't make it there
where everything pains
burns
I'm in between them
walking the feilds of Asphodel
feild of the lost souls
where we spend eternity
searching for the rootka tree
the one living thing
that brings us
to where we should have been
I can't speak
I move and moan
slow as the world turns
a veil
walking past feels like ice
the roots curve and twist together
shaping of a tree
I want to run
the excitement builds
I touch the rough twisting roots
I'm the only lost soul
to find her way

Its intended to be about a girl who dies and doesn't go to heaven or hell and gets stuck in the Feilds of Asphodel, also called the Feild of The Lost Souls. There is one way to get your second chance to "find the light" and it's to touch the base of the Rootka tree, a tree that is entirely formed by twisting roots. The rootka tree is hidden by an invisibility veil and she passes through it and makes it to her destination. My favorite part is that you don't even know where she went, she could have gone somewhere worse than walking in a feild for eternity. My favorite line is the last two. Enjoy. I know, not to great.
