   What his last thoughts were

I'll never tell

They were quickly swept away

when I mopped the floor

and polished the stars

I wanted everyone to know

they still shined brightly

after he was gone

They weren't sad

None fell from the sky

The moon didn't even show

for his funeral

But I did

Although he'll never know

And you'll never know

Because I'll never tell
