I Look at Your Picture
I look at your picture
And the memories come to life, so vivid,
That I can feel your eyes, your skin, your touch,
Hear the rhythm of life in your chest,
Familiar smell of side swept hair when you lean in,
Lips so close, so sweet, your taste pure of care yet passion,
Irises blue as the sky, yet so much brighter and satisfying,
Your as good as rare,
A diamond in a pile of rocks,
Could the perfection sparkle more,
The angel born to mortal, you would think as I soak in your angelic face,
As the memory ends,
Reality bites at my cheeks where your lips soon fade,
Once again I find the loneliness that is,
Without you
And sudden sadness strikes
