Heart's Garden MAG

By Anonymous

   It rains in the garden.

It rains in my heart.

Heart and garden

Are one, but apart;

For the garden blooms bright

With the sweet kiss of rain,

While my heart slowly dies

With the pouring pain.

Seeds in the garden

Were planted with care,

Those in the heart

Flew by chance there.

Seeds in the garden

Grew wild and robust;

Seeds in the heart

Were killed by a frost.

So planter when planting

Plant with care:

Of a thing in the heart

Called love, beware.

For the heart of a garden

Is a very different thing

Than the garden of the heart

Where love lies within.

LOVE IT!!! This is a truly amazing and touching poem! I just love the extended metaphor and the way it all flows so well! No rhyme is forced, which is really excellent. BEAUTIFUL! Keep writing!!!! :)
