My Reading History
'Twas a long time ago,
Longer now then it seems,
In a place that perhaps you've seen in your dreams
The story you are about to be told,
Is of a girl who learned to read when she was 6 years old
Fairytales were her favorite,
the Grimm brothers she liked best
though they never really helped her
for her science test
In fourth grade she developed an addiction
to a series she now regrets
she began reading A Series Of Unfortunate Events
In sixth grade she read about mermaids in Serene
her favorite author now,
was Gail Carson Levigne
In seventh grade
she read teens' hottest new highlight
unfortunately she submitted
to the cult classic of twilight
And so onto eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh
her love of books was clearly evident
She'd go to Borders
and buy coffee with quarters
she'd just sit and read all day
until the books blew her away
Zombies, music, movies, dance
she'd much rather read....then experience romance
