Eternity And A Day MAG

By Anonymous

   I think of you before I go to sleep.

I think of how well you know me.

I dream about our perfect night;

To lie beside you in front of a fire,

To go to sleep holding you tight.

I want you ever so much,

More than words could ever express.

I sit and remember how we used to play;

Hurling snowballs on a cold wintry day.

Talking and exchanging warm hints of affection,

To be with you would be utter perfection.

I'll reminisce of our first realization,

Of how we felt in one unconscious gaze,

That seemed like an eternity and a day,

Of how we stood close when we spoke,

Of how we teased and of how we joked.

To us flirting had become an art,

But we blatantly denied if ever we were asked.

We couldn't admit how we felt,

But each knew the other much too well.

For, when we were finally left alone,

We were both the epitome of lovesick woes.

But at the same moment we put each other at ease.

We expressed our love in one perfect kiss,

And finally our hearts were at peace.

We held the other like the world was about to end.

We loved each other so we could not pretend.

I wish this moment would last,

For, to the devil, my soul I'd pay,

Just to have this moment last for

Eternity and a day.
