Her last boyfriend dissed her
For someone who has no self-esteem
If only she knew

I seen the pain on her gentile face everyday
The sorrow never seems to go away
He never cared about her in the first place
He never said, “I love you”

For me, it was love at first sight
The kind of love that would never hurt anyone
If only she knew

He still continues to play with her mind
As if she was blind
If only she knew

The love that I have for her continues to grow
but she won’t let me in
If only she knew

My personal thoughts about my last relationship are what inspired me to write this poem. I hope people will understand how important it is to tell the person you like that you like them because they might be in a bad situation with someone else.
