Different
The voices, they are constantly there,
keeping me ever present and aware,
that equilibrium can not be reached
in today’s society that can not be breached.
The voices, which tell me that I'm,
Different.
I lash out with all my might
For them to understand that which is my fright,
Of being what they seem to know,
But I contradict and say I am just like the rest.
But the voices, constantly there like an unwanted pest,
They tell me I am but one word,
Different.
And these voices I try to deny.
I scream at their words, which I try to defy.
But look at what I have become.
A pawn in their game, a game they have won.
Insanity tears me until I see
The only word to describe me,
Different.
