serious guy
with false malevolence
to scare the bad guys,
loves me to death
or so he says,
eats pancakes
and talks on a cordless
to a faraway friend
with a talking parrot
who swears
and attacks on command;
waves to me
from across the street
but stays on his side
because it's Monday
and he's entitled.
nice if you know him
scary-looking if you don't;
'cuz he knows he's cool
and he doesn't need you
or me to tell him,
but he pretends to
sometimes
'cuz he's nice
and he loves me to death
or so he says.
