I sit here quietly...............breathing.

I sit here quietly, thumbing through my pages of

screaming, dying thought.......so empty.

I sit here quietly, softly caressing the deep velvet

of everything I once saw that was holy,

crinkled in a ball of useless waste slowly burning

up, consumed in mindless flame.

I sit here quietly.



I sit here quietly.................thinking.

I sit here quietly, dreaming the dreams of all the

things I ever wanted as they cavort around, taunting

me in the mess of fear I project, too damn worried

to reach out to them.

I sit here quietly remembering all I ever lost,

stuffed puppies, a sense of god, a rock hero, babies

being brutally crushed to death under unforgiving

satanic trees....

I sit here quietly..............caught in endless flashbacks.



I sit here quietly...............observing.

I sit here quietly, drifting through memories of old,

recalling everything we said to ourselves,

everything we did to ourselves, how we lied to

ourselves.

I sit here quietly...............learning to forget.



I sit here quietly...watching the fairies sing.

I sit here quietly as the leprechauns dance.

I sit here quietly upon the psychedelic mushroom of

lust w/ a caterpillar and three hippie chicks as Alice

whispers "is it really this hopeless for me? Am I

destined always to roam around & around & around & around

forever on an endless spiral into oblivion? Can I

ever settle into someone'ss love?"

I sit here quietly, watching you slip away.



I sit here quietly.......unaffected by everything.

I sit here quietly, destroyed by the slightest fragment

of thought.

I sit here quietly...............................dying to be discovered,

too weak to press onward,

faithfully mindless,

unable to continue,

permanently settled,

Screaming Out Silently,
