Feel the Blue

Blue is the rain
when it hits the ground.
Blue is the feeling
when you need to frown.

Blue is the taste
of the cold, salty ocean-
the noise of the waves
the taste of the foam.

Blue is the noise
of the pitiful cry
you make
every so often.

Blue is the swirl
of peace and coolness
you stare at every day.
Blue is the bittersweet feeling
you feel when you win a game
and see your friend lose.

Close your eyes
and feel the cold,
the bitter,
the cry in the night,

Feel the Blue.

I wrote this in 6th grade for a poetry assignment and was looking back at it now in ninth grade and noticed it was pretty good.
